Educational Reviews
On of the areas which distinguishes Anglican and other Christian schools is their Christian character and mission. In striving to achieve on-going self-improvement, schools can benefit from an educational review conducted by a panel of external reviewers who are sympathetic to what the school is trying to achieve.
The Commission has developed expertise and has identified a pool of competent reviewers to conduct educational reviews. The reviews focus on the school’s achievement of its mission, including the quality of its teaching, learning, assessing, reporting, professional development, pastoral care and Christian education. The precise terms of the review are negotiated with the school’s Head/Council. The reviews do not address compliance with Board of Studies or OHS requirements or the performance of particular staff or the Principal.
If you would like to know more about the Commission’s conduct of school reviews, please contact the Executive Director, Dr Bryan Cowling.
